Linus

I wanted to depict Linus at the moment he finds comfort in his inseparable blanket—a symbol of our frailties, yet also of the sources of security that accompany us through life. Breaking the artwork down into distinct elements evokes the idea that each of us is composed of emotions and experiences that, together, shape our identity. The background, made up of original *Peanuts* comic strips, pays tribute to Charles M. Schulz and represents the character’s transition from the 2D world of the comic strip to the 3D reality of the physical world. This sculpture invites us to view our most vulnerable side with tenderness, for that is precisely where our humanity resides.

Ho voluto rappresentare Linus nel momento in cui trova conforto nella sua inseparabile coperta, simbolo delle nostre fragilità ma anche delle sicurezze che ci accompagnano nella vita. La scomposizione dell'opera in elementi distinti richiama l'idea che ognuno di noi sia costruito da emozioni, ed esperienze che, insieme, danno forma alla nostra identità. Lo sfondo, composto dalle vignette originali dei Peanuts, è un omaggio a Charles M. Schulz e rappresenta il passaggio del personaggio in 2d dal fumetto alla dimensione reale in 3d. Questa scultura è un invito a guardare con tenerezza la nostra parte più vulnerabile, perché è proprio lì che risiede la nostra umanità.
